Privacy Policy
The short version. AETHER processes all audio on your own device, inside your browser. When you share system audio, a microphone or an audio file, that sound goes into the Web Audio engine on your machine and straight back out to your headphones. It is never recorded, stored or sent to us or anyone else. We have no accounts, no ads and no tracking cookies.
This policy explains how Boit Technologies Pvt Ltd (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use AETHER at aether.produsa.app, including the web app at /app.
1. Audio you give AETHER
AETHER can take sound from four places. You choose which one, and your browser asks for your permission first:
- System audio. When you press “Spatialize System Audio”, your browser shows its own screen-share prompt. AETHER uses only the audio track of that share. The video track is required by the browser, but AETHER does not read, display or keep it. You can stop sharing at any time from the browser’s sharing bar.
- Microphone input. Used only while you have Mic Input selected.
- Audio files you load. These are read from your disk into memory in the browser tab and are not uploaded.
- Built-in test and demo tones. These are generated on your device.
All of this audio is processed in real time on your device. It never leaves your computer. The audio engine contains no code that sends audio anywhere. The app’s security policy also blocks network connections to every destination except this site and Cloudflare’s cookieless page-view counter, which is described below. Your audio is never among the data sent.
AETHER may briefly ask for microphone permission so your browser will reveal the names of your audio devices, like “Razer Kraken V3”. In that case the microphone stream is closed straight away and nothing is captured.
2. Settings stored on your device
AETHER saves your preferences in your browser’s localStorage on your own device. These include your chosen profile, custom profiles, speaker layout, headphone profiles and theme. This data is never sent to us. You can erase it at any time by clearing site data for aether.produsa.app in your browser settings.
3. What we do collect
- Privacy-friendly page analytics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and measure load performance. It does not use cookies, does not fingerprint you, and does not track you across sites. It records things like the page URL, referrer, browser type, country and timing data.
- Standard server logs. Like every website, our host, Cloudflare, briefly handles connection data such as your IP address and user agent. It uses this to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We do not collect your name, email address or payment details through AETHER. AETHER has no sign-up.
4. Third parties
- Cloudflare hosts the site and provides the analytics above, under Cloudflare’s privacy policy.
- Google Fonts, cdnjs and unpkg serve fonts and animation libraries on the landing page. Your browser fetches these files directly from those providers. The web app itself at /app loads nothing from third parties.
We do not sell or rent any information, and we do not share it for advertising.
5. Children
AETHER is a general-audience audio tool. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children.
6. Your rights
Almost everything AETHER touches stays on your own device, so you already control it. If you have a question, or want to use your rights under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, or any other applicable law, email [email protected].
7. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. If a change affects how audio is handled, we will say so clearly on this page before it takes effect.
